Course Description:
Successfully classifying impairment as medical or drug-induced is a critical task for those charged with investigating DUI / DWI. In this course, Dr. Beltran utilizes scenario-based learning to guide students through appropriate decision making and introduce concepts of medical conditions that may mimic drug impairment.

Gerald Beltran, DO, MPH is an Emergency Physician in Greenville, SC. He is the Chief of the Division of Prehospital and Disaster Medicine within the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Prisma Health. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts and his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.
