Course Description:
This course provides an in-depth overview of oral fluid testing as an emerging tool in impaired driving enforcement. Drawing on over 35 years of traffic safety and regulatory experience, the instructor introduces the history, development, and current applications of oral fluid testing in the U.S. and abroad. Participants will explore the challenges of traditional methods such as blood and urine testing, and how oral fluid technology addresses issues of timeliness, accuracy, and roadside feasibility.
