Course Description:
This course introduces the Seated Standardized Field Sobriety Test (SFST) Battery, emphasizing its origins in marine law enforcement and its adaptation for non-maritime applications. Learners will explore the development and scientific validation of the seated testing method and how it can support roadside impaired driving investigations. Through video-based instruction across four lessons, participants will gain a foundational understanding of the seated SFST’s and their practical use beyond the original context. Note: This course does not serve as a replacement for the full NASBLA Seated SFST course or Seated SFST Transition course.
