Why we exist
But three barriers have proven hard to get past.
DrugImpairment.com was founded by a DRE, specifically to address these challenges. We're here to help.
Industry-leading instruction
DrugImpairment.com offers advanced education on drug impairment tailored specifically to the needs of Drug Recognition Experts and forensic toxicologists. Training is delivered through asynchronous e-learning that can be completed at the learner's own pace and convenience. Courses are taught by industry-leading instructors learners might otherwise never reach without significant travel and tuition. The catalog keeps expanding, and members are automatically granted access to any newly added content.

Membership is more than a course catalog. It is a working reference your DREs can reach for on the job.
General drug information, therapeutic concentrations, pharmacology, drug interactions, effects on performance, a bibliography of references, and more.
Full Drug Resource Guides currently cover the Tier 1 drugs, but you can search the Drug Detail Database for over 220 additional drugs — DRE category, trade names, notable metabolites, pharmacological class, and more. Our "Drug Vault" also holds expected DRE categorization on more than 2,200 other substances.
Didn't find an answer in our other resources? Members can submit a form to get expert help on drug-impairment topics — from a source you can trust.
An ever-growing library of links, manuals, bibliographies, and other resources a DRE may commonly need to reach.
We are planning more resources as we grow, and members get the chance to weigh in on our growth priorities as we roll out new features.
DRE Study
DRE Study is DRE Central's new study app for DRE candidates. It brings a digital study matrix and smart flash cards together in one place, so candidates can practice on their own time and coordinators can see how each candidate is progressing.
DRE Central
DrugImpairment.com is one part of DRE Central, a family of DRE technology built around the real needs of DREs and DRE State Coordinators. Programs can pick the pieces they need.
The only end-to-end DRE program management platform: evaluations, toxicology, case dispositions, certification and recertification, CEUs, course records, and one-click IACP annual reports.
A configurable digital study matrix and smart flash cards that help candidates arrive at DRE school prepared.
An automated DRE call-out system: DREs set their availability rules, and requests run by text message.
DRE RMS is hosted on Amazon Web Services and holds a SOC 2 Type II attestation, issued in July 2026.
Group accounts
Access is an annual membership that includes any newly added content. It opens all of the site's resources — including a catalog of training from industry-leading instructors — for less than the average cost of one advanced webinar.
To reach as many DREs as possible, we recommend that DRE State Coordinators set up one group account for all of their DREs. A group account, managed by the coordinator, makes it easy to oversee continuing-education activity, add or remove users, and comes with bulk discounts.
Group seats are $159.99 each for 2 to 10 seats, and the per-seat price drops as the group grows, down to $109.99 for 200 or more. Membership can typically be covered through your state DRE grant or other highway-safety grant funds.
How we can help
The cost of membership can likely be covered for all of your DREs through your state DRE grant or other highway-safety grant funds. If you would like help, we can provide a brief justification toolkit with language for your application, and one-on-one assistance.
Advance your DRE program
Request a demo or justification toolkit, or set up a group account for your whole program.
